Welcome to Book Babies! A brand-new, inclusive space for babies and their caregivers to explore stories, sounds, and social interaction in a relaxed, developmentally enriching environment. As an early years educator with nearly twenty years of experience, I understand the importance of fostering early literacy and language development through songs, rhymes and simple stories. Your child will also have the opportunity to develop their sensory awareness through a variety of textures, music and visual aids. Come and connect with other parents in a safe, inviting environment, at the Neilson Hays Library, a UNESCO-awarded heritage building with a rich history.

Program Goals

• Foster early literacy and language development through songs, rhymes, and simple stories.

• Encourage sensory exploration through age-appropriate textures, music, and visual aids.

• Support caregiver-baby bonding in a fun and nurturing setting.

• Build community among local parents, guardians, and babies.

Promote the library as a family-friendly, inclusive community hub and promote cultural and literary events at the library.
