Neilson Hays Library is a heritage and cultural space, as well as a private space for our members and community. We want everyone to be able to enjoy the Library in a calm, comfortable and respectful environment.
To protect the privacy of our members and visitors, casual photography and filming are not permitted inside the Library. Photography and filming for approved Library activities, events or professional purposes may be permitted with prior approval.
We're happy for visitors to take photographs outside the Library, including of the building, gardens and exterior architecture, provided that:

Professional photography, filming, commercial content creation and organised photoshoots may be considered by prior arrangement with Library management.
Approved sessions may be subject to availability, designated time slots, fees, conditions and supervision. Please contact us in advance to discuss your requirements rather than arriving with photography or filming equipment.
