Kong Rithdee is currently the deputy director of the Thai Film Archives. From 1996 to 2018, he was a journalist at the Bangkok Post covering film, art, culture, and politics. He still writes film columns in English and Thai, while also translating articles, screenplays, and books. In 2018, he translated the S.E.A. Write Award-winning Thai novel The Blind Earthworm in the Labyrinth by Veerapon Nitiprapha into English. In 2014, he was awarded the Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et Lettres by the French government.
