Carina Chotirawe was formerly an assistant professor, lecturer in English literature at the Faculty of Arts, Chulalongkorn University.  She obtained her B.A. (hons.) in English from Chulalongkorn University after which earned a Master’s Degree in English from Warwick University on a British Council scholarship and a Ph.D. as an East West Center grantee from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.  She taught at the Faculty of Arts, Chulalongkorn University for more than 30 years during which time she served as Chairperson of the M.A. program of the Thai Studies Center and later Director of the Translation and Interpretation Center.
