Panu Aree has a film and photography degree from Thammasat University. He was the sound engineer on Sunset at Chaopraya 2 (1994) and has directed many documentaries including Once Upon a Time (2000), Parallel (2002), The Convert (2008), Baby Arabia (2010), Shadow of the History (2013) , and The Dream Keepers (2016), many of which have screened in film festivals including the Yamagata International Documentary Film Festival, the Hong Kong International Film Festival, and the Singapore International Film Festival. Panu is currently Director of Acquisitions for international films at Sahamongkolfilm International, and a lecturer on film business and documentary production.
