In this intimate and evocative performance, celebrated actress Sarah Finch becomes Austen — and her most beloved characters — weaving a rich tapestry from Jane’s letters, novels, and personal musings. Accompanied by elegant live music performed on piano, violin, and harp, this delightful show offers a witty and insightful journey into Austen’s life and her era. Highly acclaimed from New York to Cuba, this production promises an unforgettable evening of humor, romance, and timeless storytelling.
Sarah Finch’s impressive career marks her as a legend of British theatre. Her extensive work includes starring roles at the prestigious Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC), performing under acclaimed directors like Trevor Nunn, Terry Hands, and Ron Daniels in classics such as A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Winter’s Tale, and Peter Pan. Finch’s portrayal of Jane Austen in the BBC adaptation of Fay Weldon’s Letters to Alice, filmed at Austen’s own home in Chawton, is one of many highlights in her illustrious career, which spans Shakespeare’s Globe, London’s West End, the Royal Opera House, and international theatre festivals.
